Qualification

You are considered to be an international student:

• If you are not a citizen of the United States
• If you are currently in the United States with a visa

US citizens and permanent residents, no matter where in the world they live or go to school, are not considered international applicants but will be reviewed for admission within the context of their school cohort.

Requirements

1. Official Transcripts

International students must submit original or certified copies of all secondary and post-secondary transcripts or records of grades to-date and showing proof of graduation. These must be prepared and authorized by the student's home institution and be accompanied by a certified English translation. Learn more about international student requirements.

4. Test Scores

5. Certified Bank Statement

在提交申请时必须提供银行对账单. An application cannot be reviewed without proof of funds. 6. Financial Certification Form (signed)

7. Copy of Your Passport's Photo Page

The deposit holds your place as an incoming student. First Year students planning enrollment should submit the deposit as soon as they have decided to enroll at Alfred University.

Submit Evidence of Financial Support

The Department of Homeland Security requires Alfred University to verify that a student planning to study in the United States on a F-1 visa can provide financial evidence documenting sufficient funds for their student careers. To verify evidence of financial support, please submit the appropriate form below in order for the Committee on 招生 to make a decision on the application. 该表格必须与申请一起提交.

Additional Tasks

In addition to paying the $300 deposit in U.S. dollars and submitting your Certification of Finances, international students are required to submit the following documents and complete the following additional tasks:

1. I901 SEVIS fee payment confirmation: This is a required fee in order to book a visa interview appointment at your local US Embassy the payment can be online once you receive your I20. Use the link above to proceed with your payment.
2. Visa appointment confirmation: After a student completes their visa application and their I901 SEVIS payment they must book an appointment through their local US Embassy website.

4. Submit Required 健康 Forms: Alfred University has a 健康 & 健康 Center right on campus. Learn more about the required 健康 Forms在注册成为学生之前需要有健康保险和免疫接种.

This form is an electronic signature that accepts financial responsibility for the coursework you’ll receive at Alfred University. This form is separate from financial aid. Follow these steps to complete the form:
   1. Click “Enter Secure Area” to sign-in to Bannerweb using your Student ID (A00…)
   2. Click “Student Services” then click “Look Up Classes”

First time college students also need to have a final high school transcript sent to the Registrar’s Office as soon as you graduate.

10. Attend Immigration Seminar & Pre-Arrival Orientation: These are 强制性的 sessions for incoming international students and an opportunity for our counselors to help you navigate two very difficult processes-Immigration and Relocation.     2. For students matriculating in spring semesters the dates are: Immigration overview-November 15 (you must be deposited by this date to access this meeting), Pre-Arrival Orientation November 20 (you must have completed the I901 SEVIS fee payment and booked a visa appointment to attend this session).
